They're Asian Ball Joint Dolls. There are plenty of companies that make them & you can buy them on ebay. This particular mold comes from a company called Leekeworld. [link] (He's custom painted and styled, they all are, no two dolls are exactly alike ^^) Hope that helps.

I've always wanted to produce nice photos, but Anda just recently started studying photography for a degree, so we've seriously been trying to up our game these past few months, mostly with cosplay shots but I want to work on doll photography more. I've been picking up some tricks through her and just really trying. I want to keep improving.
I kind of gumped my way through it initially, but now I'm trying to pay more attention to what I'm doing. There's actually a helpful bunch of threads on Den of Angels dealing with the how-tos and tricks and techniques of doll photography. Different uses of lighting, cameras, outdoor vs indoor etc. There's also a group here on DA that deals predominantly with photography and technique:
