Darth Talon Test 01

Well here she is... or part of her at least. The first (incomplete) make-up test for my Star Wars cosplay: Darth Talon (of the expanded universe). This is far from finished, but with the NYC cons looming but a little more than a month away, we needed to start testing the body paint.

ALL THE MAKE UP IN THIS PHOTO IS REAL.
All the red & black is actually make-up that took several long hours to apply by hand (thanks to the very talented ) and the eyes are contacts. It's really only part of the makeup I need to do for Talon, and my 'lekku' head prosthetics are in the process of being commissioned.

Since this was our first go at it, the makeup was really an all-day endeavor, testing airbrushes and stencils (both failed) we ended up applying most of the designs by hand after sponging on several coats of the red. We only really worked on my head and chest and all other major parts of the costume at this point in time have yet to be created. It's been a lot of work so far.

I have to thank for supplying me with an invaluable slew of tattoo reference from his wonderful 3D renders of Talon.

And of course who painstakingly painted it all on me by hand (and will be painting it all on me by hand for each of the upcoming cons...poor bastard )
